Thanks to http://www.writersdigest.com/uncategorized/things-to-write-about-great-places-to-find-ideas for the awesome idea of writing a letter to a stranger!
Dear Stranger,
In my thirteen years of life, I have learned a few things. One thing I learned that I may have not understood when I was younger is that if you jump down from a flying airplane while holding an umbrella you probably wouldn't survive.
Another thing I learned is that you will never achieve anything if you are too afraid to try, it seems pretty obvious at first, but I once wanted something that I wasn't able to get because I was afraid to try.
Not only do I enjoy writing I also enjoy acting and I continue to do it, but when I was a bit younger I was very shy and afraid to talk in front of anyone I didn't know,This fear of mine prevented me from doing many things such as meeting new friends, and ordering a tasty cheeseburger from a fast-food restaurant ( Hmm maybe that was for the best.)
It has also prevented me from doing a good job at some of my auditions. Because of my fears no one could see my potential at my auditions, This has led me to lose a lot of great roles that could have helped me become more successful at my dream job. Luckily I have become a lot less shy now that I have grown, but I still have my regrets from when I was younger. I learned that I couldn't achieve the things I wanted if I didn't try the hard way, But you don't have to, My challenge for you, stranger, is to try something that you might have been too scared to try before. Because if you don't, you will live your life wondering what could have happened if you tried. Now I don't want to end this letter on a sad note because it isn't sad I learned something very valuable and important that I can now use for myself and for others in order to not be afraid to try new things. I hope this letter inspires YOU to try something New.
Sincerely,
Abby :)
